The Elder Abuse Guide for Law Enforcement (EAGLE) continues to be the cornerstone of elder abuse resources for law enforcement. EAGLE was created with the input of nearly 10 law enforcement departments across the country and has been developed into a free online and face-to-face training. However, EAGLE is also being utilized as the quick reference guide for many aging departments across the county! This session presented by The National Center on Elder Abuse will showcase free available tools to combat elder exploitation, including mobile apps, databases, trainings, and guides. The EAGLE tool offers guidelines in interviewing elders with cognitive impairments, bruising identification, state-specific abuse penal codes, and aging services resources. EAGLE works hand in hand with law enforcement and aging offices to combat elder abuse and protect our aging population.
