Notice to advocates and MiVAN.org users:
Beginning January 1, 2021, MiVAN.org will no longer support Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11). After this date, you will not be able to access our website using Internet Explorer, and you will be asked to switch to a supported browser (such as: Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari).
Why is this happening?
In August 2020, Microsoft announced it would discontinue support for Internet Explorer 11, and would phase out the Legacy Edge browser, in favor of the new Microsoft Edge. While both browsers will continue to operate, no security or performance updates will be issued. This means that if you continue to use either of these browsers, you will begin to have a degraded browsing experience. You may not even realize some websites are not performing at their full potential, which is why it is important to make the switch to an updated browser
What should I do, and what should my agency/organization do?
You should familiarize yourself with the new browser you wish to use, download and install a new browser if necessary, and discontinue using Internet Explorer/Edge Legacy.
