Iowa Coalition Against Sexual Assault
“Grounding is a coping strategy that helps survivors who dissociate stay connected to the present moment. Grounding often involves connecting with the five senses to stay in the here and now. Join part four of a four part panel discussion to learn more about grounding, a variety of techniques to ground, and what advocates can do to help survivors stay grounding. Panelists joining for these conversations include Olga Trujillo, a survivor and expert on dissociative identity disorder, Nicole Matthews, an expert on sexual violence and advocacy in Native communities, and Kris Bein, an expert on advocacy skills”
