Highlighting School and Campus Safety
As millions of students return to school buildings and campuses in the coming weeks, we start another academic year. For some, back to school season can cause excitement as a new year of possibilities opens. For others, it can also cause anxiety and nervousness. School safety, bullying, and violence are real concerns in our schools and on our campuses. It’s sometimes difficult for youth, parents, and school personnel to know how to prevent, intervene, and support in these cases.
That’s why, this month, we created a compilation of recent resources and trainings centered around school and campus safety, including the Michigan School Safety Initiative, engaging youth in violence prevention, and reporting cyberbullying.
